UTG - Urban training ground

Risk-free entry into Urban XR Training

Urban training facilities often have the problem that they are not only expensive to purchase and maintain, but also that it always means a compromise between safety and functionality.

If the facility is approved for practice with live ammunition, it has to be on a training range that has to be shared with others. The consequence? Not enough practice is done because a training range requirement must be widely planned. Surprisingly emerging free spaces can thus not be used for this critical issue.

If the installation is not approved for exercises with live, FX ammunition, there is no hit recording during tactical action with blank ammunition. An unwritten law of weapons training is: No weapons training without hit recording! It is of no use at all if the forces have made a nice rehearsal, but in the end have not incapacitated an enemy. This is false visualization and irresponsible, because it gives the forces the impression and the self-confidence that they are well prepared. However, compared to reality, their performance is not compared at all.

Basic training XR urban movement

The type of movement in urban terrain is always determined by the location and the mission. Influences have the own abilities, as well as the available equipment.

- If there is imminent danger, action must be taken quickly, even in urban terrain.

- If the situation allows for self-determination, a more considered and cautious approach is appropriate.

Both approaches involve countless types of interaction. For example, just getting through a door can be solved in 300 different ways. Additionally, each unit and agency has its own style of movement. Appropriate is what works. To even determine that, however, circumstances must be realistic.

Urban basic training in UTAV is designed to test for validity what has been learned in dry training. Here, the instructor can choose to use plates, AI opponents, or XR role-players when teaching. After a session, the AAA-Analytics software can be used to track and analyze the process. This ensures that the trainee receives immediate feedback. Through the dynamic opponents, ideas from the session can be immediately reviewed and adjusted.

The trainer is completely free to choose whether to set up his training as part of a course or to use individual stations.

The UTAV can also be used to practice procedures in an urban environment under NBCN protection. The realistic graphic environment creates a unique sense of seriousness.

The use of different lighting conditions also plays a role. For example, using a flashlight in the shooting theater is technically impossible, but it is a daily routine for the police night shift and must therefore be practiced.

For special forces (Tier 1 & Tier 2) the basic training offers as an extension

- harmonization with night vision, infrared, and laser/light modules

- the examination of the own SOPs in a standardized course

Good training. Low cost. Low risk.

Shooting training involves risk. To avoid accidents or faulty handling, a shooter must prove in an augmented reality (XR) simulation that he treats the trust placed in him with competence and respect.

To save time, augmented reality can be used because it does not require a fixed organizational procedure in terms of internal and external security, but is ready for operation with just a power button.

Going to the shooting range is a daily task for most emergency or security forces, as the organizational effort is enormous. With the products of RAMROD XR, among other things, the entire organizational effort can be saved.
